Who We Are:

Ink Lines looks to connect Cayuga writers from across our concentration, no matter their campus location, geographic distance, or graduation year.

The CCC Writing Concentration:

This concentration is designed for Liberal Arts A.A. students who are interested in graduating with an emphasis in written communication for future employment needs or transfer. Students in this concentration experience varied writing classes in order to understand fundamental differences between writing disciplines and/or to help select writing programs upon transfer.
Within an A.A. degree this concentration requires a minimum of three writing courses beyond English 101 and 102, totaling 9–13 credits.

To complete the writing concentration, students should choose three writing courses from the following list. This selection will fulfill 9 credits of English and Humanities, or free-elective requirements.
ENGL 104 Advanced Expository Writing* 3 credits
ENGL 110 Writing Research in the Discipline* 1 credit
ENGL 211 Creative Writing*† 3 credits
ENGL 217 Writing for the Media* 3 credits
or TELC 204: Journalism Practicum 3 elective credits
ENGL 238 Special Topics* (if language/writing topic) 1 credit
ENGL 239 Special Topics* (if language/writing topic) 3 credits
ENGL 260 Professional Writing* 3 credits
ENGL 270 Technical Writing* 3 credits
* Under current catalog guidelines, may be used as an English or Liberal Arts elective.
† Meets General Education requirement for Other World Civilizations/The Arts.
